Whitstable 

Crabbing is best by the harbour or in front of the Person Arms. We have several kits you can use in the house. Bacon is the best bait!

Westbeach Tennis On the seafront in West Beach the courts are free to use at the moment. 

Sailing Check out Whitstable sailing club for learn to sail dates and times. Lessons operate all year round.

Lifeboat station When open you can go in and look at the boats. Check the website for events and drill launches. 

Whitstable Museum Small but sweet local museum. Good for kids. Check opening hours.

Castle playground and Castle Gardens Great playgrounds and gardens are good for small children. Check the website for events. 

Cycle Hire For daily / weekly cycle hire. Cycling is a great way to explore the coats. 

Whitstable Harbour Check the website for local events, especially in the summer.

Further Afield 

Quex Park Old country house with amazing taxidermy collection. Small cafe, crazy golf, soft play, maze and outdoor kids adventure area. Check the website for opening times and special events.

Mount Ephraim Gardens Beautiful gardens and lovely little cafe only 5/10mins drive away.

Wildwood Great small wildlife park with amazing trail through woodland and greta playground. Great day trip for younger children. Check the website for feeding times and special events.

Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway Small steam railway that goes to Dungeness. Check out the website for train time and special events.

Canterbury Cathedral Beautiful cathedral with lovely ground right in the heart of Canterbury.

The Beaney Museum in Canterbury great little gallery in the center of Canterbury

Dover Castle Great day trip

Deal beach and Pier Lovely day trip and nice cafe at the end of the pier

Warmer Castle Great castle with beautiful gardens and a kids nature trail


Broadstairs 

Viking Bay & Botany Bay great sandy beaches. Joss Bay is the best place for surfing.

Margate is a great day trip away. Get there by train or car or cycle there in a leisurely 2 hours! Lots to do including, Margate dreamland, Shell Grotto, Margate Caves, Turner contemporary, Clayspace.

Storeroom by Curve great cafe in The Printworks, a mixed use creative space in the heart of Margate. 

Sargasso  Great tapas bar / restaurant on the harbour arm. Amazing wine too!
